Brewery news

The Federation of the Brewing and Soft Drinks Industry has drawn up new guidelines for advertising in the sector, YLE reported December 13.

The federation announced it will no longer use images of people under the age of 25 in the advertising of its products.

In its new guidelines, the brewing industry states that it wants to promote responsible use of its products - beer, cider and pre-mixed long drinks.

In addition to the industry's own guidelines, legislation that comes into effect at the beginning of next year also restricts the advertising of alcoholic beverages.

For instance, television advertisements of alcoholic beverages will be allowed only between nine in the evening and seven in the morning.
