Czech brewer, Prazske Pivovary, will change its name to Pivovary Staropramen, with effect from October 13, 2003. That was the decision approved by the brewery’s shareholders. The company is majority-owned by the Belgian brewing combine, Interbrew. It announced last month that it was considering changing its name. Staropramen is the company's leading export brand, sold widely through the Interbrew network.
