E-Malt.com News article: Azerbaijan: Sales of excise duty stamps for beer enjoy unprecedented growth

Azerbaijan’s State Securities Committee has reported that in Jan-Aug 2008 sale of excise duty stamps for tobacco and strong drinks in the country rose more than 6 fold – from AZN83.6 million up to AZN511.7 million, Azerbaijan Business Center published on September, 18.

The country also observes growing tendency of sale of excise duty stamps for beer products.

“The Jan-Aug sale of stamps for beer reached AZN61.8 million. At the same time AZN55.6 million stamps were requested for domestic production,” the SSC said.
