E-Malt.com News article: Ukraine: August beer exports fall by 33.9% as compared to July volume

Ukraine exported 33.9%, or 398.24 thousand litres less beer in August as compared to July, the nation’s State Statistics Committee reported on September, 25.

In total, the country’s beer exports in August constituted 29,993.82 thousand litres to the sum of $10.08 mln.

As compared to the results of August 2007, beer export dropped by 4.7%, or by 1,471.72 thousand litres in August 2008.

During January – August 2008, Ukraine’s beer export increased by 11.9%, or by 28,853.62 thousand litres as compared to the same period last year and made 271,512.58 thousand litres to the sum of $88.1 mln.

Beer export grew by 29.6% in July versus the rate registered in June, experts remind.
