Bud Light Lime, once exclusive to the U.S. market, will be available in Canada as from this summer thanks to a couple thousand Facebook fans who petitioned for its release north of the border, CNW reported on May, 21.

The premium light beer, which combines the easy drinking taste of Bud Light with a splash of 100 per cent natural lime flavour, will now launch in the Canadian market beginning May 25 - all thanks to the power of Bud Light Lime beer fans across Canada.

"We had five consumer Facebook groups and thousands of fans asking for Bud Light Lime in Canada," says Richard Musson, Vice President, Marketing, Labatt Breweries of Canada. "We just introduced the beer last year in the U.S., and already the response has been overwhelming. The Canadian Facebook petitions alone have resulted in hundreds of phone calls to our U.S. call centre from fans who have tried the beer in the U.S. and want to enjoy it at home."

Bud Light Lime will be rolling out nationwide beginning May 25th and will be available at select retail outlets, bars and restaurants, it is reported.
