Obolon CJSC, one of Ukraine's largest breweries, has announced plans to open its representative facility in Belarus, NRCU.gov.ua posted on October, 23.

This question will be raised at a general shareholder meeting set for December 3, 2009, the company said.

As reported, a number of Ukrainian breweries halted exports of their goods to Belarus. In particular, Obolon and Slavutych Carlsberg Group with 90% of the whole exports of the Ukrainian beer to Belarus, forcedly suspended shipping of their products to this country because of problems faces by the Belarusian distributor of the Ukrainian beer, Aramis and Co.
