Brewery news

US beer shipments declined by 3.3% in the first half of 2010, Beer Institute reports, though the volume grew by 0.3% in June.

Unofficial national brewer production estimates indicate an increase of 0.3% in taxable removals of 17,200,000 barrels in June 2010 compared to 17,150,000 barrels in June 2009, Beer Institute said.

Domestic taxable removals (also know as Tax Paid Removals) measure the amount of beer shipped from domestic brewers to distributors within the U.S. market.
