E-Malt.com News article: Japan & Singapore: Suntory Holdings establishes new subsidiary in Singapore to spearhead its expansion in Asia Pacific

Japan’s Suntory Holdings said on August, 17 it has established food and beverage subsidiary business in Singapore that will spearhead the group's expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.

Suntory Beverage & Food Asia Pte. Ltd. will be led by CEO Hong Sik Park and will start operations from September 1.

Current existing business development functions in Suntory Beverage and Food Limited for Asian areas focusing South East Asia will be transferred to the new company in Singapore to locally accelerate its strategies, decision making and group management in this area, Suntory said.

Suntory already executed new business development of South East Asia in this year such as new products launch and new joint business. For Thailand, new beverage products has been launched through Tipco F&B Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Bangkok, Thailand, Managing Director: Viwat Limsakdakul, Shareholders: Suntory Beverage and Food Limited 50%). In July of this year, Suntory reached agreement with Indonesian food and beverage company Garuda Food Group to establish a joint venture in Indonesia.

Suntory beverage and food group continues to expand business in emerging Asian new markets through this new company in Singapore and maximize overall group companies synergy in Japan, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. Suntory also accelerates its global strategies with the new company as a base for local hiring and international personnel exchange.
