E-Malt.com News article: USA, KS: Radius Brewing Company to open in Downtown Emporia

Owners Justin Bays and Jeremy Johns announced on October, 2 that Radius Brewing Company, LLC will occupy the building at 610 Merchant St. in Downtown Emporia soon.

The restaurant will feature an open kitchen design and bistro-inspired operation.

Eventually, the restaurant will employ a production micro-brewery in a “blue-grass industrial” atmosphere.

The brewery portion is lead by Johns, who has family experience in the trade. Johns and his brothers have home brewed for several years, but he is the first to make a venture as a professional brewer.

“Radius will offer a full service bar and a selection of quality regional craft beers,” he said. “As soon as we are able to brew in-house, we will add four of our own year-round beers and two rotating seasonal, specialty taps.”

Fuller has experience in restaurant service in environments ranging from diners to four-star restaurants.

Radius is currently working with contractors to solidify a target opening date.
