E-Malt.com News article: USA: MillerCoors ‘updating’ its Milwaukee brewery

MillerCoors LLC, the US joint venture of SABMiller and Molson Coors, is investing $530,000 in its brewery on Milwaukee’s west side, city documents show.

MillerCoors has contracted with Hunzinger Construction Co., Brookfield, for the addition at 4001 W. State St, St. Paul Business Jornal reported on October, 12.

A MillerCoors spokesperson said the project will not create jobs or add capacity at the brewery.

“It’s basically an update to the brewery that we just kind of need to do,” said spokesperson Karina Diehl. “It’s about maintaining the quality of the brewery that we have now.”

Diehl declined to provide more details of the work being done or the square footage being added.
