E-Malt.com News article: USA, AZ: Four Peaks Brewing Co. opens second Tempe location
Brewery news

Four Peaks Brewing Co., Arizona’s largest brewery, opened a second Tempe location this week, azcentral.com reported on November, 20.

That makes for three locations total, with another in Scottsdale.

The spot will pour all of the Four Peaks brands, including Hop Knot (IPA), 8th Street Ale (English pale ale) and Peach Ale (fruit beer).

“We were out of beer,” said co-owner Jim Scussel. “We had to get the new place open and get Kilt Lifter and the others brewing.”

Most of the building space will be used for brewing. The retail space seats about 100 people, and is surrounded by glass walls so guests can see the brewing equipment.

With the new space, Four Peaks will double its current output of 40,000 barrels a year (or 1.24 mln gallons).

“The craft-beer market is so great and our goal is to flood Arizona,” said Scussel. “We want to cover the state from head to toe, from Page to Bisbee.”
