E-Malt.com News article: USA, AK: Alaskan Brewing releases its seasonal Summer Ale
Brewery news

Alaskan Brewing is releasing their always-anticipated seasonal Summer Ale in April, brewbound.com reported on April, 4.

“This is a favorite here in the brief Alaskan summers,” says Alaskan Brewer Rob Day. “A lot of us from the Brew Crew fish in our spare time, and our summer excursions can include close encounters of the marine kind. So our Summer Ale was inspired by fresh Alaskan seafood and the amazing experiences that we can have on the water, like coming face to face with an Orca.”

Alaskan Summer Ale is brewed in the style of a Kolsch.

First brewed in Alaskan’s original, 10 barrel brewhouse in 1997, the beer became part of the brewery’s Rough Draft series. After meeting great success with each limited edition release, the enthusiastic reception led the Brew Crew to bring it to market as a permanent summer seasonal.

The Alaskan Summer Ale joins the recently released Freeride APA on shelves in Alaskan Brewing Co.’s 14 state distribution area.
