Japan: Beer and low-malt liquor shipments fell in March, the third consecutive month of declines. Kirin, Asahi, Sapporo, Suntory and Orion announced last week that the combined shipment in volume of beer and low-malt liquor fell last month by 4.7% year-on-year to 496,665 kilolitres. While beer shipments fell by 0.5% to 293,087 kilolitres last month, low-malt liquor shipments also dipped, by 10% to 203,578 kilolitres.
