E-Malt.com News article: USA, CO: FATE Brewing to expand space and production capacity
Brewery news

A major expansion is coming to Boulder’s FATE Brewing Co., not yet two years old, The Denver Post reported on November, 14.

The brew pub, known best for its kolsch beers, bucked Colorado’s recent trend of new breweries opening neighborhood taprooms, instead opting for a full-scale restaurant, with its beers sharing taps with drafts from other breweries. The expansion, set to start next month and finish early next year, will nearly double FATE’s fermentation space.

It also includes the acquisition of 2,500 square feet next door. The newly added space will house a barrel aging room and packaging facility, both aimed at expanding the brewery’s production capacity (nearly doubling it) and its range of offerings. FATE is adding five fermenters that will accommodate three to 30 barrels each.

“We knew that increased production capacity would be a goal at some point down the road,” FATE owner Mike Lawinski said. “Never did we imagine it could happen so quickly, but we have hit capacity and we need more space to keep up.”
