Jeramy DeBord, a local entrepreneur from Lisbon, is looking to flip the old liquor store on North Beaver Street and to turn it into Lisbon’s first microbrewery, wkbn.com reported on November, 17.

“We think we might be the furthest along. I’m not 100 percent sure on that but we will most likely be the first in Lisbon and from there who knows,” said DeBord.

The new brewery will be called Numbers Brewing Company and being Lisbon’s first microbrewing company, it will be a fully local brewing company taking advantage of other local business in Lisbon.

“First of all, a new business generates tax revenue for the area. Also, we will be adding some jobs. At this point we don’t have a firm grasp on how many that will depend on how successful the business is, but one of the other things that we will do as a member of the business community we will buy locally, we’ll use as much local product as we can to produce,” said DeBord.

Although it’s about three or four months away from completing construction on Lisbon’s newest addition, DeBord said that there is still more work to be done even after completion.

“Probably a couple of months to go through and get our health code or health approvals, and just and make sure we are up to code on everything we need to be and that the process is producing quality,” said DeBord.

DeBord also said he and his business partners have been working on some new flavors and plan to name each after important numbers in Lisbon’s history. There are also plans to teach his craft to customers in the future.
