E-Malt.com News article: Portugal & Angola: Portugal’s beer shipments to Angola increase 17% last year

Portugal’s shipments of beer to Angola increased by 17% to a total of EUR143 mln in 2014, Publico.pt reported on February 11.

According to preliminary data by INE, Angola imported more than 163 mln litres of Portuguese beer last year, but this figure will not be reached this year as the nation’s government has set a maximum quota for the import of beer at 40 mln litres.

Exports of Portugal’s brewers totalled almost EUR235 mln last yeaer (+17.8% vs. 2013), and shipments to Angola represent the majority of the total volume.
