Russia: Sun Interbrew announced that it is to expand its brewery in Omsk. The company intends to invest €50 m in the project, which is expected to take four years.
According to the regional administration, Omsk’s Regional Governor Leonid Polezhavev and Sun Interbrew vice president Yujin Zabava met recently to discuss the investment plans. “Investments will near €85 m at the next step, and the brewery's capacity will double,” the administration told Interfax.
Earlier this month, Sun Interbrew announced that it had narrowed its Q1 net loss to €1.8m from €7.1m last year. Revenue for the company leapt by 61% to €133.6m, as the volume of beer sold increased by 49% to 3.9m hectolitres.
