Russia: Russian Brewery Yarpivo is growing faster than the overall Russian beer market. In 2003 the market increased 7%, while Yarpivo sales increased 14.2%. During the first nine months of the year the beermaker produced 3.85 million hl of beer. In the third quarter Yarpivo brewed 1.46 million hl of beer. In 2003 the brewery registered a beer output of 5.30 million hl versus 4.54 million hl in 2002. In 2003 Yarpivo controlled 7.1% of the Russian beer market compared to 6% in 2002. OAO Yarpivo is 60% owned by BBH (Baltic Beverages Holding AB).

Russian beer market increased 11% in the first nine months of the year. Russian brewers produced 64 million hl during January-September 2004.
