In the fourth quarter of 2002 Russian brewery Patra will sell by auction its 25.5% shares owned by state. 23.8% of shares are owned by Sun Interbrew, the joint venture between Belgium’s Interbrew and Sun Brewing. Patra employees own 50.6% of shares. The value of the shareholding on sales is thought to be around US$25 million.

According to Patra brewery press spokesman, although Sun Interbrew had no influence on Patra activity, Sun Interbrew would probably take part in the auction.

Patra brewery has produced 59 million litres of beer and soft drinks during the first nine months of 2002.
