The Seattle Brewing & Malting is now about to produce its first cases of Manny's Pale Ale, a brand launched by its new operators, two young enthusiasts working under the Georgetown Brewing company name.

Even before the launch, the initiative has earned wide acclaim among beer enthusiasts in the American Northwest, and the brewers are optimistic about prospects of fulfilling production capacity at 3,000 barrels per year.

The Seattle Brewing and Malting Company with its Rainier brand was the largest brewery in the US before Prohibition, which quenched operations from 1916 to 1933.

Subsequent attempts to establish the Rainier brand never reached the same heights, and the brewery passed through various hands before production was moved elsewhere.
