Brewery news

Budweiser will be available in Trinidad & Tobago starting July 31 through a new wholesaler distribution agreement between Anheuser-Busch Inc. and local distributor Caribbean Bottlers Trinidad & Tobago Ltd., the company released July 27.

“Budweiser offers a clean, crisp and refreshing taste -- something that’s different for beer drinkers and something that will become part of everyday life in Trinidad & Tobago,” said Keith Levy, vice president, Sales and Retail Marketing, Anheuser-Busch. “Introducing Budweiser will provide adult beer drinkers with even greater variety and choice.”

Budweiser is brewed using a blend of domestic and imported hops, and a combination of barley malts and rice. Anheuser-Busch’s exclusive beechwood aging process creates the brand's clean, crisp taste.

“Adult beer drinkers in Trinidad & Tobago want products with a refreshing taste and solid, quality reputation,” said Camille Chatoor, sales and marketing director, Caribbean Bottlers T&T Ltd. “Anheuser-Busch’s commitment to quality and innovation positions the beer for success in our growing market.”

Budweiser will be available in six-pack and 24-case, 12-ounce long-neck glass bottles and in six-pack, 10-ounce aluminum cans. The beer can be purchased in local bars, clubs, restaurants and grocery/convenience stores, and its introduction into Trinidad & Tobago is being supported by various advertising and point-of-sale materials.

Budweiser is currently available throughout the Caribbean in Aruba, the Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, Tortola, Turks and Caicos, and the United States Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John).

Caribbean Bottlers has been the local distributor of Coca-Cola products in Trinidad & Tobago since the company was established in March 1997.

Based in St. Louis, Anheuser-Busch is the leading American brewer, holding a 48.8% share of U.S. beer sales. The company brews the world’s largest-selling beers, Budweiser and Bud Light. Anheuser-Busch also owns a 50% share in Grupo Modelo, Mexico’s leading brewer, and a 27% share in Tsingtao, the No. 1 brewer in China. Anheuser-Busch ranked No. 1 among beverage companies in FORTUNE Magazine’s Most Admired U.S. and Global Companies lists in 2006. Anheuser-Busch is one of the largest theme park operators in the United States, is a major manufacturer of aluminum cans and is America’s top recycler of aluminum cans.
