Brewery news

Pyramid Breweries Inc. announced September 14 that thanks to warm temperatures and Seattle baseball during the month of August, Pyramid bartenders poured an astonishing 12,282 pints of the flagship HefeWeizen and 14,355 pints of the popular summer seasonal CurveBall.

The award-winning craft brews helped some 70,000 customers wash down 5,297 burgers, 2,197 pizzas and 1,519 nachos. AOL CityGuide selected the Pyramid Alehouse as Seattle's top beer spot in 2006. Locals noted the fine microbrews and pub food, plus its choice location near Safeco Field.

"August was an amazing mix of sunshine, great sports and our top-rated employees," said Alex Krallis, General Manager, Seattle Alehouse. "My team thrived on the record volume. Instead of panicking, they made it look easy and had a great time with the customers."

Pyramid Breweries Inc. is a leading brewer of specialty, full-flavored beers and sodas produced under the Pyramid, MacTarnahan's and Thomas Kemper brands. The independent company owns two alehouse restaurants adjacent to its full-production breweries under the Pyramid Alehouse and MacTarnahan Taproom brand names in Berkeley, California, and Portland, Oregon, respectively, and three alehouse restaurants in Walnut Creek and Sacramento, California, and Seattle, Washington.
