Belgian brewing force, Interbrew, is forecasting much better results for the second quarter of the year. John Brock, the company’s CEO said he was "guardedly optimistic" about second-quarter profits. "The global beer industry will pick up," he added after the company's shareholder meeting.

"The first quarter was soft. Not many in the beer market grew," stated Brock. “However, Interbrew had done better than most, gaining market share in more than half of the markets where it's active.”
