According to the FranceAgriMer agency, 96% of the planned area has been sown with corn in France, and seedlings have already been obtained on 88% of the area, which exceeds last year's level (82%) and the 5-year average (77%).

The condition of grain crops is also better than last year. As of May 18, 80% of winter soft wheat crops (71% last year), 76% (66%) of winter barley, and 85% (75%) of spring barley were in good or very good condition.
