A senior executive officer of the Kirin drinks group, Shigeki Ota, has resigned from the position of director of the company's part-owned subsidiary Lion Nathan. Mr. Shigeki Ota has been a Lion Nathan Director since 1998. Hitoshi Oshima, who has been employed by Kirin since 1972, holding a number of senior management roles within Kirin, will replace Shigeki Ota with effect from May 14, 2003. Hitoshi Oshima is currently chief executive officer of International Beer Division of Kirin Brewery Co.
