| E-Malt.com News article: Australia: Foster's brewery production hampered by brewery strike
There has been a drop in beer production at Foster's Yatala brewery, south of Brisbane, as employees strike for a second week, ABC News reported November 12.
The Electrical Trades Union says output has dropped by more than 50,000 cartons a week after members stopped work four times last week.
Union organiser Scott Wilson says more than half of the employees at the brewery are striking and will continue next week because Foster's is refusing to issue them a union workplace agreement.
"The reason it's come to this is that the company has put out two non-union offers to the workforce," he said.
"They've both been rejected and the company's refusing to consider a union agreement at Foster's Yatala brewery."
