Carlsberg shares were 1.7 pct lower at 596 dkr, CNN reported March 19. According to daily financial Borsen, Carlsberg has saved around 5 bln dkr on the takeover price for Scottish & Newcastle as the pound has fallen 11 pct against the Danish kroner since October, when Carlsberg first announced its interest in its UK rival.
