South African Breweries (SAB) has bought for $79.3m additional three breweries in China through its joint venture Chine Resource Enterprises Beverage.

One of the bought breweries is located in Sichuan, in the southwest, and the other two breweries are located in the northeast.

These acquisitions strengthen SAB’s position in China. SAB is the third-largest brewer in China.
