Japan's Ministry of Agriculture has issued a tender to buy feed barley under the simultaneous buy and sell (SBS) system to take place on June 11, a ministry official said, according to Reuters, May 27.

The purchase will be for up to 301,000 tonnes of feed barley, he said.

The cargoes will be for loading from the time the contract is concluded to Sept. 30.

The ministry has said it will buy 1.41 million tonnes of feed barley in the fiscal year to next March, unchanged from the previous year.
