E-Malt.com News article: Denmark & Ukraine: Two Tuborg subbrands to remain on the Ukrainian market after a contest ending in a draw

The battle between Tuborg Twist and Tuborg Black – the new subbrands launched in Ukraine early in June this year – has ended in a draw, Slavutich Carlsberg Group announced on November, 13.

Over the half year of voting, the two beers found equal numbers of admirers. More than 65,000 persons voted for the preferred beer on an Internet site and via SMS.

As it was shown by the results of the promotion campaign, a little more of votes were given for Tuborg Black. However, sales reflect a higher consumers’ demand for Tuborg Twist.

The sales of Tuborg Black (a dark beer with guarana) constituted 26.3 thousand hl, whereas the sales of Tuborg Twist (a pale ale with lime flavour) totalled 33.7 thousand hl.

Slavutich Carlsberg Group announced that both beers will remain on the Ukrainian market.
