In June 2009 Baltika Breweries has started production of the new federal brand Zatecky Gus (Zhatetsky goose). This beer is brewed according to an original recipe with addition of the famous Czech aromatic hop of Zhatetsky variety, Russia’s largest brewer announced on July, 3.
Denis Sherstennikov, Vice-President Marketing, Baltika Breweries: "The launch of the Zatecky Gus brand is not a temporary anti-recessionary measure: high-quality accessible beer brewed in the best Czech traditions will be always in demand. We expect the new brand to attract attention of consumers of various brands."
The new beer is produced in Saint Petersburg first. Starting from July production will be organized at all facilities of the company. The beer is available in 0.5 litre green glass bottles and in 1.5-litre PET. The recommended retail price is about 25 roubles per a 0.5-litre bottle and 52 roubles for a 1.5-liter PET, Baltika said.
