Following the continued growth of SABMiller plc, the Company announced on September 29 the appointment of Gary Leibowitz as Vice President of Investor Relations (US) and Mat Dunn as Business Analyst - Investor Relations. Mr. Leibowitz has responsibility for managing the Company's institutional investor and securities analyst relationships in North America as well as business and financial analysis of SABMiller's North and Central American operating units, for the purposes of external disclosure. Mr. Leibowitz was most recently Director of Investor Relations for Centrica plc, following a career in corporate development (Intel Corporation), private equity (EBRD) and investment banking (Merrill Lynch & Co.) in New York. During this period he made private equity and debt investments in six brewing and malting companies and held Board Directorships of two such investees in partnership with Carlsberg A/S.
Mr. Dunn, who joins the team on 1 October, will be responsible for financial analysis of the Company's operating unit performance and the preparation of business and financial information for external disclosure. He will also participate in the Company's global investor relations programmes. Mr. Dunn has worked within SABMiller's finance function since 2002 as a management analyst, following previous finance roles at Diageo plc and J Sainsbury plc. Mr. Leibowitz will work alongside Anna Miller Salzman, Head of Investor Relations, and report directly to SABMiller's Director of Corporate Affairs, Sue Clark. Mr. Dunn will report to Anna Miller Salzman.
