AB InBev, the world’s largest brewer, has appointed Bob Golden, a veteran of its U.S. operations, as global head of mergers and acquisitions, a key job at a company with a long record of dealmaking, The Wall Street Journal posted on January, 26.
Mr. Golden, 49 years old and formerly vice president for acquisitions and development at the company's U.S. unit, was promoted to vice president of mergers and acquisitions for the global company effective Jan. 1. Mr. Golden replaced Pedro Earp, a native of Brazil, who moved back to his home country to run the marketing behind Skol, one of the brewer's leading beer brands.
A spokeswoman for Anheuser, the world's largest brewer by sales, called the change "normal succession planning."
