E-Malt.com News article: Australia: GrainCorp appoints Managing Director and CEO

Australian maltster and grain handler GrainCorp announced on June, 1 the appointment of Alison Watkins as the company’s Managing Director and CEO.

Ms Watkins, who is also chief executive of the investment and funds manager Bennelong Group, will replace Ian Wilton, who has been interim chief executive since Mark Irwin left suddenly in January.

“Alison Watkins brings considerable experience in agriculture, food processing, and retailing to GrainCorp, and a great breadth of Australian and international senior executive and non‐executive experience. She will take up her position from August 9th,” GrainCorp Chairman Mr Don Taylor said.

Mr Wilton will return to his chief financial officer role when Ms Watkins joins in August.
