| E-Malt.com News article: United Kingdom: Draught Guinness price to increase in February
The price of draught Guinness will increase by 5% on February, 1, The Publican reported on December, 20.
The brand’s owner Diageo said the rise is driven by inflation and higher cereal and utility costs.
The increase will be excluding duty and VAT.
A statement from Diageo said: “We will continue to support the on-trade through our network of over 100 field sales staff who work every day to build retailer profits by driving footfall into pubs and through our network of over 100 Guinness quality executives, we are assisting our customers in serving great quality Guinness every time.”
Other drink producers are expected to announce price hikes over the coming weeks.
