| E-Malt.com News article: US: Anheuser’s Shock Top Belgian White announces a new addition to its family
Anheuser Busch’s Shock Top Belgian White, a popular offering since it was first introduced as a seasonal beer in 2006, announced a new addition to the family with the launch of Shock Top Raspberry Wheat.
Shock Top Raspberry Wheat is an unfiltered Belgian-style wheat ale, brewed with ingredients including wheat malt, coriander and citrus peels, along with a hint of wild raspberry flavor, resulting in a refreshing and smooth taste with a flavorful twist.
“The popularity of wheat beers continues to grow, so we wanted to create a brew that would allow adults to enjoy Shock Top in a new way... with a hint of raspberry flavor,” said Brewmaster Jill Vaughn. “We hope beer lovers enjoy this new take on Shock Top, just as much as we enjoyed crafting the recipe and brewing the beer.”
Brewed at Anheuser-Busch’s Baldwinsville, N.Y. brewery, Shock Top Raspberry Wheat contains 5.2 percent alcohol by volume (ABV). Sold nationwide, the brew is available on draught and in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles. Shock Top Raspberry Wheat is the first extension of the award-winning Shock Top Belgian White, an unfiltered Belgian-style wheat ale with a naturally cloudy and light golden color, brewed with orange, lemon and lime peels and coriander.
