| E-Malt.com News article: US, AK & MN: Alaskan Brewing Co. starts selling beer in Minnesota
Alaskan Brewing Co., a craft beer maker from Juneau, Alaska, will start selling its bottled and draft beers in the Twin Cities beginning May, 2, Business Journal reported on April, 29.
The brewery will be offering four varieties out of the box: its flagship Alaskan Amber beer, along with white ale, IPA and a seasonal summer ale.
The difference between Alaskan Brewing and other craft brewers is the origin, said Ashley Johnston, the brewer's communications manager.
"We like to think it’s a little taste of Alaska in every bottle," Johnston said.
The beers all are made with Alaskan ingredients and recipes, such as the one for Alaskan Ale which is brewed with a recipe that dates back to the gold rush days around 1900.
Minnesota will be the 11th state to carry the beer, and it will be the easternmost state.
The company has about 30 events planned in the Twin Cities to promote its Minnesota launch leading up to Minnesota Craft Beer Week which runs May 13-21.
