Brewery news

The Bricktown Brewery, one of Bricktown's longest continually running restaurants, soon will celebrate completion of a $500,000 makeover that includes an overhaul of its menu and tap offerings, NewsOk reported on July 1st.

The R.T. McLain family opened Bricktown Brewery in 1992. At the time, the family owned the entire block bounded by Sheridan, Oklahoma and Main Street. The restaurant and club was owned for much of its existence by Jim Cowan, who sold it in 2007 to the current owners.

With a grand opening set for later this month, final touches are under way on a new menu, expanded offerings of handcrafted beers and a new emphasis on what owners call the “Oklahomaness at the core of the restaurant's brand.”

“To complement the beer we brew on-site, we're including ‘Made in Oklahoma’ products in our new recipes and naming our new beer selections with Oklahoma culture in mind: made in Oklahoma, by Oklahomans, for Oklahomans”, Warfield said. “And people from out of town, too, of course. Texans, even.”
