| E-Malt.com News article: USA, OH: Cincinnati brewers create a collaborative brend: the Cincinnati Brewmasters' American Barleywine
Several minds behind Cincinnati's craft breweries got together to brew one collaborative blend at the Mt. Carmel Brewing Company's Farmhouse on December, 28, FOX19 reported on December, 29.
The six brewers will create the Cincinnati Brewmasters' American Barleywine for the city's first ever "Beer Week."
Governor Kasich recently made an announcement to ease restrictions on brewery tasting rooms, which promises to make Ohio's breweries more competitive outside of the state.
Many other Ohio cities have beer weeks and local brewers decided it's time for Cincinnati to get involved.
"I think we all agree it's time for Cincinnati to take part and grow the beer interest in Cincinnati and how that we have more breweries and more people who support craft beers, we think it's time," said Mike Dewey, co-founder of Mt. Carmel Brewing Company.
The beer will be available at most grocery stores in mid-January and on tap at several local restaurants. The inaugural "Beer Week" will be Feb. 2- 9, leading into Cincinnati's Winter Beerfest on Feb. 10 and Feb. 11.
