NYC fans of Newburgh Brewing can now head out into Manhattan and Brooklyn to enjoy Newburgh beer. With its limited production, Newburgh beer will only be available in select locations in the 5 boroughs - the positive response to Newburgh beer has been overwhelming and is incredibly appreciated, Craftbeer.com reported on May, 25.

“We are excited to be distributing in New York City, because each of the principals of the company (Christopher Basso, Charlie Benedetti, and Paul Halayko) have close ties to the city,” notes Christopher Basso, Newburgh’s Brewmaster. “I brewed at the Brooklyn Brewery for nearly 7 years, and lived in Brooklyn; Paul lived in Manhattan and worked on Wall Street; and Charlie (who also worked on Wall Street) was born in Queens, and lived there for many years before moving upstate.”

Paul Halayko, Newburgh Brewing’s President, said: “The City of Newburgh isn’t always mentioned in the most favorable light. Now, a high-quality product that is handcrafted right in the City of Newburgh will be enjoyed by people outside of the Hudson Valley. And maybe, when someone drinks a Newburgh beer, and sees our tap handle proudly displaying ‘NEWBURGH’, they will remember Newburgh in a positive light.”
