E-Malt.com News article: Canada: New food class for barley announced by the Canadian Grain Commission

The Canadian Grain Commission announced on June, 29 the introduction of new food class of Barley, Canada Western/Canada Eastern that came into effect on July 1, 2012.

At the same time, the hulless class for Barley, Canada Western/Canada Eastern will be removed, the Commission said.

Hulless and covered grades will be included for all classes of barley: food, malting and general purpose.
