Scottish & Newcastle has received the unconditional approval of European Commission to buy the Finish leading beer and soft drinks company Oyj Hartwall Abp.

However, for being definitely able to acquire "Hartwall" ,Scottish & Newcastle needs two other consents :one from the Anti-Monopoly Committee of the Ukraine and another, from its shareholders, who will express their will at the Extraordinary General Meeting in May .
