| E-Malt.com News article: USA, CA: Karl Strauss opens its 7th brewery restaurant in 4S Ranch
After much anticipation, Karl Strauss is opening its seventh brewery restaurant in the north inland San Diego community of 4S Ranch, Craftbeer.com reported on August, 8.
This is the company’s first brewery restaurant to open in more than ten years. Karl Strauss has spent the last decade focused on growing its brewing operations and expanding its beer distribution beyond San Diego, more than doubling in size from 20,000 barrels in 2002 to 50,000 barrels projected for 2012. “Now that we’ve increased our capacity and set the foundation for growth, it’s the right time to open another brewery restaurant,” says Matt Rattner, President and Co-Founder of Karl Strauss Brewing Company. “We look forward to sharing our beers with the 4S Ranch community and from the emails we’ve been getting, there are some thirsty folks out there!”
“We’re excited to have an in-house brewer here to help keep up with demand and brew special test batches,” says Paul Segura, Brewmaster. In addition to the beers on tap, the restaurant will feature a wide variety of its award winning specialty beers in 22oz bombers as well as weekly Thursday cask nights.
