Cannery Brewing launched Lakeboat Lager, a new beer that pays tribute to an iconic historical landmark in Penticton, Canadian Beer News reported on November, 28.

The S.S. Sicamous is a large steamboat that was in operation in the Okanagan Valley from 1914 to 1935. It is currently open as a museum and events facility, and is being restored by the S.S. Sicamous Restoration Society.

To raise funds for the cause, Cannery is releasing Lakeboat Lager.

Cannery Lakeboat Lager will soon be available on tap and in 650 ml bottles at outlets throughout British Columbia.
