| E-Malt.com News article: USA, TN: Wiseacre Brewing Company to open in Memphis
Memphis’ local beer scene is growing quickly, with a fourth craft brewery planning to open in the market by the end of the year, bizjournals.com reported on February, 19.
Two brothers, Davin and Kellan Bartosch, are planning to open Wiseacre Brewing Co. in the heart of Memphis’ Broad Avenue Arts District.
They have signed a lease for 13,000 square feet and will produce a regular line-up of year-round beers as well as a selection of seasonal and limited-edition brews.
In addition to brewing, Wiseacre will also feature a tap room in which customers can sample the current offerings, learn about each unique brew and purchase beer to-go.
Wiseacre will host regular brewery tours and beer education classes taught by Davin, an accredited brewmaster, and Kellan, who is certified Cicerone, the beer world’s equivalent to a credentialed wine Sommelier.
Wiseacre is the third craft brewery planning to open in Memphis this year. High Cotton Brewing Co. and Memphis Made Brewing Co. are planning to open as well. They will join Ghost River Brewing Co., which opened in December 2007 and expanded in 2011.
