Tenth and Blake Beer Company, the craft and import division of Miller Coors, has purchased property behind its 10th Street brewery in Milwaukee, biztimes.com reported on June, 11.

"As demand for our craft and specialty beers continues to increase, this additional space gives us the ability to expand our overall brewing and packaging capacity," said Tom Cardella, Tenth and Blake president and chief executive officer.

Tenth and Blake will refurbish the two-story building, which was built in 1924, over the next several months, and expects it to be ready in early 2014.

Tenth and Blake Beer Company is the craft and import division of Miller Coors.

The Tenth and Blake family of breweries includes Blue Moon Brewing Co. at the Sandlot in Denver, Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Co. in Chippewa Falls, Wis., 10th Street Brewery in Milwaukee, AC Golden in Golden, Colorado, Birra Peroni in Rome and Plzeňský Prazdroj (Pilsner Urquell) in Pilsen, Czech Republic.
