| E-Malt.com News article: USA, TX: Saint Arnold Brewing Co. starts selling bottles of Bishop’s Barrel No. 3
Saint Arnold Brewing Co.’s owners will no longer have to leave their brewery to purchase bottles of beer. Thanks to a recently approved package of brewery bills, the Houston brewery will begin selling bottles on the premises, Houston Business Journal reported on June, 18.
The sale follows the June, 14 approval of Texas' legislative package of brewery bills, which allowed craft breweries to sell limited amounts of their beer for on-premise consumption.
The sale at Saint Arnold's location in Houston will be the first time that the brewery has sold beer directly to a consumer.
The new laws raise production limits on Texas brewpubs and allow them to sell beer to wholesale distributors, which will level the playing field with out-of-state brewpubs that were already allowed to sell their beer in Texas.
Saint Arnold brewery tours began on Monday, June 17th.
