E-Malt.com News article: Canada, ON: The Hamilton Brewery to open by the end of the year

After years of depending on other Ontario towns and cities to supply its craft beer needs, Hamilton will soon be home to a small brewery of its own, Canadian Beer News reported on June, 20.

The Hamilton Brewery is being launched by Warren Pyper, a chef and ex-military master corporal with an interest in craft beer that began during a visit to New Zealand.

With the assistance of several family members, Pyper is preparing to install a brew house and retail outlet in a 4200 square foot warehouse in the north end of Hamilton, Ontario, with an aim to start selling three core brands – “an easy-drinkin’ west coast pale ale, a creamy Irish red and a hoppy India pale ale” – and assorted seasonals by the end of 2013.
