Village Brewery has announced the release of a new summer seasonal that was brewed using a somewhat unexpected but quite refreshing ingredient – cucumber, Canadian Beer News reported on July, 18.

Village Farmer Cucumber Farmhouse Ale is a 4.9% saison that has organic and locally grown cucumbers. The resulting beer is described as follows:

Village Farmer is available now while supplies last in 1.89 litre growlers at the Village retail store and liquor stores in Calgary, ON and on tap at select bars and restaurants in the city.
