| E-Malt.com News article: Mozambique: Cervejas de Moçambique reports 16% rise in FY sales
Mozambican beer maker Cervejas de Moçambique (CdM) posted sales of 9.062 billion meticals (US$301 million) in the financial year ended in March, which was a rise of 16 percent against the figure posted in the previous year, Macauhub reported on July, 29.
CdM said that profit totalled 1.524 billion meticals compared to 1.083 million in the previous financial year.
According to CdM, the “investment carried out four years ago at the Nampula factory” contributed to these results as it had achieved its maximum production capacity “two years ahead of schedule,” as well as the issue of 1.1 billion meticals (around US$38 million) in shares in the previous year.
CdM is a subsidiary of SABMiller, the world’s second-largest beer maker.
